PADUCAH—Several West Union Baptist Association churches are scheduling special services Nov. 10 in connection with the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s “RISK: Paducah” evangelistic initiative.
Nov. 3 has been designated Friend Day in many Paducah-area churches according to Chuck McAlister, leader of KBC’s Evangelism, Church Planting & Collegiate Ministries Team.
“Several churches are following up Friend Day with revivals or special services featuring guest speakers,” McAlister said.
Ohio Valley Baptist Church, 538 Hazelwood Dr., Barlow, is hosting a two-day revival, Nov. 9-10.
Outside the association, Donaldson Baptist Church, 104 Enon Rd., Princeton, is hosting a special Veterans’ Day service Nov. 9 followed by revival Nov. 10.
McAlister will be preaching at LaCenter Baptist Church on Nov. 10.
Paul Chitwood, executive director-treasurer of the Kentucky Baptist Convention will preach the one-day revival Nov. 10 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church in Paducah.
The Lone Oak congregation will host the 176th Annual Meeting of the Kentucky Baptist Convention on Nov. 12, preceded by the annual pastors’ conference on Nov. 11 at the same location.
Lone Oak’s pastor, Dan Summerlin, is KBC’s current president.

Kentucky Baptists are sponsoring various activities and events Nov. 1-10 as part of RISK: Paducah, an effort to share the gospel message and the love of Christ with people in the Paducah area.
