LOUISVILLE — Jim Donnell, a longtime staffer at the Kentucky Baptist Convention, has been promoted to the position of associate executive director for convention operations.
The KBC Administrative Committee approved Donnell’s promotion last week. He will work alongside Curtis Woods who serves as associate executive director for convention relations. Both will report directly to KBC Executive Director Paul Chitwood.
“Helping Kentucky Baptists spread the Gospel has been a joy, and I looking forward to continuing that in my new role,” Donnell said.
Donnell joined the KBC staff in 1994 as director of the Administrative Services Department and assistant business manager. Since then, he has taken on additional duties including overseeing security and facility management, support services, disaster recovery coordination and Executive Office administration.
Prior to joining KBC, Donnell was an executive in hospital administration, having served as an administrator of a Baptist hospital in Arkansas as well as on the administrative staff of a Baptist Hospital in Tennessee.
“Jim and Curtis will work closely with me and give servant leadership across the organization,” Chitwood said. “Jim will be focused primarily but not exclusively on internal administration and Curtis focused primarily but not exclusively on external relations.”
