Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief is being placed on “Alert” for potential call-out. This is “Alert” only; no need for volunteers to call in at this time.
We are moving to “Alert” status to be prepared if needed to respond to damage caused by last nights tornadoes in the plains states to our west, and to be prepared as severe storms continue to track eastward through the South and Midwest today and tonight. Violent storms have caused widespread damage and power outages. Storms continue to have potential for tornadoes and flash flooding.
Please be in prayer for our neighbors in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, North Carolina, and Illinois who all had tornadoes strike last night , and loss was significant in multiple areas across the central US. Assessments of damage is beginning and tragically there were multiple fatalities in these violent storms.
Again, this is an “Alert” only, but volunteers and units should monitor emails as their is potential for call-out.
If God is calling you to give to help victims of this or other disasters, you can support Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief here.
