Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief has been asked to send at least 2 mud-out teams to Paris, Michigan – North of Grand Rapids — to respond to flooding. Melting snow and heavy rains sent the Muskegon River more than 12 feet past flood stage this in April.
The KBC is trying to assemble teams of 16-20 trained and certified flood recovery/mud-out volunteers and two trained and certified chaplains. Units and Blue Hats to supervise the units are already committed.
Teams will leave on Wednesday morning, and will serve for 7-10 days.
Team Members will be staying at Charity Baptist Church.
