MAYSVILLE, Ky. – A native Kentuckian has returned home to the Bluegrass State from Florida to lead the Bracken Baptist Association.
Dewayne Slusher, who most recently was pastor at First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, Fla., began the new role in May.
“I greatly look forward to the opportunity the Lord has given me and my family to serve alongside the churches of the Bracken Association of Baptists,” he said. “My prayer is that the Lord will allow me to be a resource for the churches of the Bracken Association to help them accomplish great works for the kingdom of God.
Slusher holds a bachelor’s degree from Boyce College in Louisville and a master of divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Emily, have two children, Isaiah and Maryfaith.
