The “On Mission Expo” is intended to help believers as they try to find places to serve beyond their local churches. The event will be at Immanuel Baptist Church in Corbin from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This is one of best ways I know to familiarize Christ-followers with opportunities to serve in our Judea,” said Eric Allen, the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s missions mobilization team leader. “This event has everything necessary to get Kentucky Baptists on mission.”
A disaster relief kitchen unit will be on display and lunch will be served to attendees.
Hundreds of pastors, church leaders and missions curious Christ-followers are expected to attend the event where they can meet missionaries and ministry leaders from across Kentucky and visit booths and displays representing missionaries and ministries.
Through the On Mission Expo, they can make plans for mission trips, learn about ministries, develop personal connections with missionaries. They also will take part in worship and hear a powerful challenge to “be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).”
Ministry leaders and missionaries need by register with Teresa.Parrett@nullkybaptist.org by Sept. 12 to set up a both or display. Attendees also need to register online by Oct. 10 by visiting www.kybaptist.org/missionexpo so organizers will know how many people to prepare. Leaders bringing a group of 5 or more will be entered in a drawing for free tablet PC.
