Creative Ministries Festival

Creative Arts event where teaching and training will be used to help youth and adults in their respected ministries.

The Kentucky Creative Ministries Festival is an exciting annual event designed to equip and resource the local church with tools for ministry. We have such a creative God who has provided all that we need to minister to the hurting and share the incredible message of salvation. Come see why thousands have been a part of this training experience for years!

Registration

Guest Artists

Eugenio Adorno

Eugenio, also known as Chagy the Clown, is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas, and co-founder of Circus of the King. He trained with professionals from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and has performed his solo show since 1992.



Darren Casteel

Darren is CEO of the Creative Arts Store and Christian Creative Arts Association in Riverview, FL. He has been a children’s pastor for nearly 20 years and is a professional puppet designer and performer with talents in magic and storytelling. Darren’s love for children and families is evident in his shows, which are enjoyed by kids of all ages.

Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith is director of Salt & Light Ministries based near Richmond, Va. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1980, Jeff spent eight years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. He was selected Best Male Vocalist in Major Army Commands and toured internationally with the All-Army Soldier’s Show. In 1988, he resigned his commission to start Salt & Light Ministries. Jeff has been a featured performer and master teacher at local, state, and national training conferences and seminars in drama, worship arts, music ministry, teacher training, children’s ministry and creative arts. His sketches have won international acclaim and his series of training videos, “Movement for Non-Movers" has helped equip teens and children all over the world share the gospel through creative ministries and music. Jeff and his wife, Debbie, have two sons, Benjamin and Samuel.

Church Performance Time

Churches are invited to share a one-act play, puppet song/skit, interpretive movement or black light performance during one of two church performance times offered during the festival. Performing is optional. If not performing, you may attend the performance times or one of the workshop sessions.

There is a limit of 24 performances for the weekend. One piece per church please - maximum time length of 6 minutes. Indicate your desire to perform and your performance preferences during the registration process.

We will try our best to schedule your performance at the time you request, but it is not guaranteed that you will receive your first preference.

Amazing Wonders Aviation Workshops (for musical drama only) will be available as part of the 2012 CMF. Learn how to direct, costume, and design the set as well as learn the songs specific to this musical.
