There are seasons to our life . . . from the abundance of summer to the hardship of winter, we all experience them differently. Our key note speaker, Jill Baughan, will guide us through the seasons. Through laughter and tears, Jill will show us how to appreciate the season we’re in, how to look for God’s hand in all circumstances, and how to find joy in every day.
In addition to the general sessions led by Jill, you will have the opportunity to attend three breakout sessions. Session titles and descriptions coming shortly!
The conference will be held at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center, 395 Paroquet Springs Drive, Shepherdsville, KY. To see Paroquet Springs on a map, click here.

Thursday Breakout Sessions
Choose one of these three:
Helping People Encounter Jesus
Daily traffic through the church office gives the Ministry Assistant many opportunities for evangelism. In this session, learn how to engage visitors, how to turn a conversation to spiritual matters, and how to share your story with others.
Hospitality and Event Planning
Ministry Assistants wear many hats . . . from decorating for a special event, to coordinating weddings and making sure the office presents an inviting environment for guests. In this session, we will overview all of these areas and give you some practical solutions that you can implement immediately.
Personality and your Ministry Role
Take a behavioral style assessment and discover how you view yourself and how you want others to see you. And through that process, you will learn more about the real you – a person who might be slightly different than you thought!
Friday Breakout Sessions
Choose two of these:
Social Media Madness (Offered twice)
Social Media is everywhere! Learn how to develop an effective communication strategy for the ministry of your church. You can calm the madness by planning ahead and scheduling weekly content. It’s easier than you think.
Business Writing (Offered twice)
While emails have replaced letters and quick, abbreviated messages fly all around us, what aspects of our writing still need to adhere to the standards of proper punctuation, grammar, and understandable organization? Come learn what’s important in church office communication . . . regardless of the format.
How can the KBC help you?
Take a look at the newly reorganized Kentucky Baptist Convention! See what’s new, who’s new, and see to whom you can turn for help. This session will include references and resources to help your church be more effective in reaching Kentucky and the world for Christ.
Successful Strategies for Dealing with Stress
Everybody has stress—both good stress and bad stress. It’s a simple fact of life. Some stress can be motivating, but too much stress can wreak havoc on one’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Learn to assess and manage your level of stress.
