How will Find it Here work?

Find it Here features three main components:

Prayerwalking the State Directors of Missions or association moderators have worked with churches to assign geographic areas for prayerwalking. Kentucky Baptist churches will prayerwalk their assigned areas to ask God to prepare the hearts of the people for the Gospel distribution and media campaign to follow.

Prayerwalking training is available as requested by associations or churches as needed. Arrangements for training can be made by contacting 866-489-3530 or Eric.Allen@kybaptist.org.

  • The Pocket Guide to Prayer Walking This color cardstock guide fits nicely in your pocket or the palm of your hand and will provide helpful information for prayerwalkers. • Prayerwalking Made Simple Prayerwalking Made Simple, written by J. Chris Schofield, will introduce you to the basics of prayerwalking. J. Chris Schofield, PhD serves on the staff of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina as Senior Consultant for Prayer Evangelism Strategies. Prior to coming to North Carolina in March 2004, Dr. Schofield served with the North American Mission Board, SBC, as Manager of the Prayer Evangelism Unit from 1997-2004.

Gospel Distribution. Directors of Missions or association moderators have worked with churches to assign geographic areas for Gospel distribution. An estimated 50,000 volunteers will be needed to reach each household.

The Gospel distribution will consist of a plastic bag with a special Find It Here brochure and an invitation to attend a Kentucky Baptist church on Easter Sunday 2010; a time when non-churched people are most receptive. Churches can also add a brochure to the bags its members distribute. The brochure could include an invitation to a special seminar or ministry of interest to guests.

NAMB and the KBC developed the printed materials for the Gospel distribution and follow-up.

National Media Campaign. NAMB has produced high quality TV and radio spots in English and Spanish. The ads feature the stories of three people who found life unfulfilling until they found Christ. Click here to download the ad video. $1.8 million is committed for advertising, and the spots are also available to churches and associations.

A special Web site, www.findithere.com, will help to support the advertising campaign.

In preparation for Easter 2010, churches will train members to be witnesses; prepare facilities and ministries to make a wonderful first impression; and make plans to follow-up with prospects.

Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead!
