What does it mean for deacons, pastors and their spouses to “take up the towel” in service? Join us at the 2010 Deacon-Pastor-Spouse Retreat as we learn from Dr. Steve Davis, Executive Director for Indiana Baptists, and his wife, Diana. As partners in ministry, the Davises have a heart for church leaders to understand and live out their callings. They are looking forward to spending a weekend with us in Bowling Green for this year’s conference, an event you won’t want to miss.

Dr. Steve Davis
Executive Director of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana
A native of Indiana, Dr. Davis has served as the Executive Director- Treasurer of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana since May of 2003. Prior to this position, he served as pastor of Texas churches in Fort Worth, San Antonio, Humble and Garland.
He and his wife, Diana, were married in 1971, and now have three adult children.
Dr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and honorary doctorate from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. His dissertation project was on starting Southern Baptist churches.
Diana Davis
Author and Speaker
Published author and syndicated columnist, Diana Davis is a popular conference leader who loves to encourage women leaders in the local church. She joyfully serves alongside her husband, Indiana Baptists’ executive director, and has led a variety of statewide pastors’ or deacons’ wives retreats. Diana is author of three books, and her “Fresh Ideas” column is featured in 16 state Baptist papers, including Kentucky Baptists’ “Western Recorder.” She also writes a regular column in “Let’s Worship” magazine and “Deacon Magazine.” Her articles also appear often in Rick Warren’s Ministry Toolbox and LifeWay’s PastorToday.com.
