What is Base Camp?

It is an interactive training bringing churches interested in sub-Saharan Africa together to learn from each others’ experiences, grow ministry, and be encouraged.  The training will help in fulfilling your mission by providing tools and ideas for planting indigenous churches among your people group.  You will be participating in the most up-to-date training that is being taught to full-time missions personnel.

Includes

  • Effective Pre-entry – Getting there and getting around there. Vaccinations, visas, insurance, background checks, vision trip strategy and planning, contingency issues, mobilizing your church, and prayer as the foundational mission strategy, Worldview
  • Effective Entry - (self-facilitation, multiple entry points, person of peace (based on Luke 10), & Presenting the Gospel through Bible story telling
  • Effective Presentation - (“hook” story (Demoniac man Mark 5), and evangelism with Creation to Christ or Creation to Church)
  • Effective Discipleship (introduced – planning story sets based on the cultural contexts)

Who else will be there?

Ordained and Lay Leaders from PARTICIPATING, ENGAGING and PARTNERING CHURCHES that are planning involvement or are currently involved in Africa.  Others interested are encouraged to inquire.
