KBC Messengers Appoint New Board Members

ELIZABETHTOWN – Messengers at the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s annual meeting today approved new members for the Kentucky Baptist Convention mission board and the boards of several affiliated institutions and agencies.
The Committee on Nominations submitted the nominations for approval during the Tuesday afternoon session of the Nov. 10 meeting at Severns Valley Baptist Church.
The committee also recommended Dan Summerlin, pastor of Lone Oak First Baptist Church in Paducah, to preach the 2010 convention sermon. The 2010 Kentucky Baptist Convention is scheduled for Nov. 16 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington.
The alternate preacher is Tom James, pastor of Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
