Project More Women

What is Project More Women?

Project More Women (PMW) is connected to More for Christ, a three-year emphasis launched in 2011 by Kentucky Baptists, challenging believers to a greater commitment to Christ and the Great Commission.

Through PMW, we want to give Kentucky women an opportunity to join together to share their faith with others through personal and service evangelism projects, impacting lives for Christ in Kentucky and beyond! Our ultimate goal is to lead people to Jesus Christ– either for the first time, or through a renewed commitment.

Are you up for the challenge? Let’s go!

When is Project More Women?

PMW begins when Project Captains submit a project and Project Volunteers sign up for a project. A Project Captain can submit a project now thru May 1 (NEW DATE). Just remember that all projects will need to be completed by May 19 (NEW DATE).

PMW is wherever God leads you to plan and participate in an evangelistic project in Kentucky!

Volunteers who can speak Spanish is critical as many of our guests are Spanish speaking. Pre-registration of all volunteers is important in determining placement in key areas of the Clinic. The 2012 clinic information is not on the site; however, it should be within the next couple of months. For more information, contact Judy or Susan directly.

What Does It Mean to be a Project Captain?

1. Commit to pray daily for Project More Women.

2. You will lead your Project Volunteers in the project which you either submit OR chose from the on line list provided.

3. If you chose a project from the on line list, you must contact the project contact listed in order to receive complete instructions. You may do this via email or use the phone number provided. NOTE: if you contact them via email, follow-up with a phone call. Remember, they are providing a great service by listing their ministry as a possible project opportunity. As they are extremely busy, make sure that you, as Project Captain, get all details and share them with your volunteers.

4. If your women's group already has an evangelistic project that will occur between March 3 and May 19, you can choose to submit it here and serve as Project Captain. Then instruct your Project Vounteers to sign up for your project OR you can sign each person up if you already have a list of your volunteers.

Projects can be something that your church will already be doing during this time or something new. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Prayerwalking while looking for opportunities to share your faith
  • Assist a crisis pregnancy center or women's shelter
  • Select an opportunity from the project list. This list will be updated as often as necessary through May 1 so check back often.

5. All PMW projects should be evangelistic in nature and occur within the window of March 3 and May 19. (Note: only projects allowing direct interaction with individuals in hopes of sharing your faith are considered evangelistic in nature.)

6. Contact your Project Volunteers and give instructions (i.e. the project details, time and date to show up, directions to the location, expectations of for the project, etc.). Encourage others as you follow through with the project.

7. Schedule your project between March 3 and May 19.

8. Complete the evangelism training online OR plan to attend one of the onsite locations before your project date.

9. Review the Project More Women Results Sheet before your project date.

10. Each Project Volunteer will need a PMWR Sheet to complete on project day.

11. Collect sheets OR designate a drop box in a secure location.

12. Compile and Upload results after the project as quickly as possible---prior to midnight, May 20, to be included in the Encounter WOW celebration. Click here to submit your results.

13. Promote and plan to attend Encounter WOW and help us celebrate! NOTE: Please take pictures and email them to projectmore@kybaptist.org so we can create a slide show to present at Encounter WOW. Please be sure to secure permission of individuals before sending.
