York Urges Legislators To Defeat Slots Bill

Dr. Hershael York, pastor of the Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort and former president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, spoke at Tuesday's rally in the Kentucky State Capitol rotunda to urge state legislators to vote against a proposal to expand gambling by allowing slot machines at the state's horseracing tracks.

It's more important  for citizens to get on the telephone and call their legislators. Call the Legislative Message Line at 800-372-7181 and leave a message asking your legislators to vote against any effort to expand gambling during the special session. If you are unsure about who your legislators are, the operator can help direct your message.

Additionally, please encourage others in your family and your church to call as well!
