Converging Worshipers
Worship Stream – A Blog for Converging Worshipersconverging n : the act of converging (coming closer)
I admit it; I’m a sucker for clever word plays. I love General Electric’s recent ad catch phrase: imagination at work.
Converging is such a great word to describe what I hope to do with this space. I think this electronic page can be a place to bring worship leaders closer together, to bring worshipers closer together, and perhaps even to explore how we can use converging as a method to pass through the current worship style issues and emerge on the other side closer to each other and closer to God.
Of course, my ultimate goal cannot be left unsaid, and that is to converge worshipers with our great God. Sounds like Great Commandment, Great Commission economics applied to worship to me!

On the positive side, we are repeatedly told to “converge” or “come closer” to other believers. Worship can unify unlike virtually anything we do. That is why the wars of worship have been such a great source of grief for our God. We will look for ways throughout the coming days to use the moments we have in worship to glorify God and to edify the church.
Next time… how converging can describe a faith community.
