What is Punt, Pass, Kick?
PPK is about a whole lot more than football - it’s an exciting and easy way to teach missions to children. Missions education has never been so fun.

Participants will:
- Prepare for PPK by earning spiritual yardage points
- Compete for physical yardage points during PPK
- Enjoy a Campbellsville University football game
- Have fun while learning more about missions and the Bible

The event will be open to children's ministries/programs for children grades 1-6 who are taking part in Royal Ambassadors, Easy RA Chapters, Mission Kids, Children in Action, Team Kid or AWANAS.

This one-day event utilizes a well known and loved fall sport -- football -- to teach vital lessons about the Gospel, missions and evangelism. The Baptist Men on Mission Department of the Kentucky Baptist Convention sponsors PPK.

The state Punt, Pass and Kick exists to engage young boys and girls with the Gospel so that they can become well informed responsible followers of Christ, can have a Christ-like concern for all people, can learn how the message of Christ is carried around the world, can work with others in sharing Christ and can keep themselves clean and healthy in mind and body.

Prizes are awarded in all three areas as well as for overall winners in each division. They will be judged according to the following criteria.
  • Each participant will have opportunity to gain both physical and spiritual yardage for a total yardage score in each event.
  • Participants will compete in one of two divisions according to their grade in school: Division I (1-3 grade) and Division II (4-6).
  • Each participant will have a 5 yard approach to the hash mark for their pass and punt events.
  • Each participant will begin kicking field goals starting on the end zone hash mark for the kick event. They will continue to kick until they fail to make a field goal as they move back in 5 yard intervals.
  • In the event of a tie in a division there will be a physical and spiritual tiebreaker to decide the winner.

All participants will participate in a field day event centered on missions and football. Participants will learn (before they come to PPK) Bible verses, Books of the Bible and “On Mission” terms and skills to compete for spiritual yardage points. They will also compete in punting, passing and kicking a football to gain physical yardage points. Awards will be given to those who have the highest combined spiritual and physical yards.
Awards Both Division 1 (grades 1-3) and Division II (grades 4-6) will be awarded event trophies. Overall winners in each division will receive special prizes.
