Son Teams Prepare For A Summer of Ministry

While most other college students are working summer jobs or enjoying a little time off, summer missionaries serving on the Son Teams are leading Discovery Youth Week and Discover Kids camps at Cedarmore Baptist Assembly, as well as leading camps, vacation Bible schools and worship at churches across the state.Members of the five Son Teams are chosen by audition especially for their skills with puppets, drama, interpretive movement, music and sports. Each team specializes in a different area of creative ministry: Son Bound focuses on sports ministry; Son Burst on puppetry, drama and creative movement; Son Celebration on vocal performance; and Son Share on drama; while Son Praise is a praise band. Son Bound -- Summer Missionaries In Action

Son Bound, the Son Teams' sports ministry team, was in action the week of July 23-27 at Southminster Baptist Church, Louisville. The team led a sports camp for kids, teaching campers the basics of basketball, soccer, volleyball and faith.
