Position Request Form (PRF) identifies a need and gives information about the place of ministry and the type of Mission Service Corps missionary requested. The following PRFs have been submitted and we are prayerfully seeking MSC missionaries to serve in these specific ministry positions.
Baptist Builder Project Coordinator
Louisville, KY
This person will work with churches by mobilizing and organizing volunteers to assist churches in their building process, by working alongside churches through the process as they seek to fulfill their vision, and by seeking to help them grow in their understanding of their part in reaching our world for Christ. Construction experience is a plus but not necessary. It is vital that the person have a strong working grasp of Baptist church life as they will work closely with churches in the entire building process, and that the person have the ability to work with and organize volunteers in ministry. We are looking for 2-3 people who could work in different regions of our state assisting churches in this important ministry. The individuals serving in this position will work closely with our KY Baptist State Volunteer Coordinator and the Baptist Men on Mission Team of the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
Missions Education Promoter
Louisville, KY
Serve as a field representative with Kentucky Baptist Convention's Baptist Men department, sharing missions education and mission opportunities to pastors and church leaders in order to evaluate mission effectiveness; recommend ways to improve the impact of the local church on the lostness of Kentucky and beyond.
Assistant to Campus Director
Hazel Green, KY
Missionary(s) will work along side the current MSC couple to operate Hazel Green Academy (the Christian social service/outreach ministry of the Red River Baptist Association.) Ministries include, but are not limited to, new church plant, food ministries, clothing ministries, summer mission teams, various outreach ministries (craft, VBS, children’s, etc.), community construction projects, etc. Missionary(s) will be involved in all aspects of these ministries including weekly worship services, summer mission projects, day to day maintenance and housekeeping duties, etc. Missionary(s) will also be involved in the operations of the Associational office.
Volunteer Coordinator for Construction Mission Teams
Blackey, KY
Calvary Campus is looking for an individual or couple to oversee all aspects of mission team mobilization relating to construction and renovation. This campus is place of spiritual renewal for hundreds of people each year and it is being further developed as a camp, conference, retreat and family life center. The right person for this position should be familiar with most aspects of construction and renovation and preferably have experience as job foreman or supervisor of construction/renovation projects. While the need is for oversight of physical projects, this person needs to have a servant’s heart and a passion for ministry. This person will need to direct and be able to work well with mission teams with varying degrees of skill and experience. All staff members also assist other aspects of the ministry as needed. This person will work alongside current staff members and under the direction of the Campus Director.
Equestrian Ministry Director
Blackey, KY
Calvary Campus is looking for an individual or couple with horsemanship skills and experience to develop and direct an Equestrian Ministry. This person would be responsible for the daily care, grooming, training, etc. of several horses. The purpose of the ministry will be to use horses as a tool for developing relationships, sharing Christ and discipling Christians. This person will be in charge of development and upkeep of the stables and surrounding property. Certification as a riding instructor would be helpful, but not required. This person needs to have the ability to plan special events and activities with the community and local churches in mind--i.e. hayrides, trail rides, training events, etc., with the intent of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This person needs to have a servant’s heart and a passion for using horses as a tool for ministry. This person will also need to work independently with little supervision and to be able to direct and work well with mission teams with varying degrees of skill and experience. Medical Missionary
Berea, KY
A physician or nurse practitioner is needed to provide comprehensive primary health care in Rural Appalachia to the uninsured and underinsured residents . The mission of Berea Health Ministry Rural Health Clinic is to operate in the context of Christianity to improve the physical, mental and spiritual health of the residents. The services provided are early diagnosis and treatment of children, adults, and seniors. Additional services are health education and promotions, gender and age appropriate screenings, prescription assistance programs, pastoral counseling,, referral and follow-up services. The over-all goal is to witness to the people we serve and provide a quality service. The physician or nurse practitioner needed must be licensed to practice in Kentucky, posses strong leadership skills and able to communicate effectively. Additional information about the position is available upon request. A retired physician desiring to serve in a ministry setting might be a perfect fit.
Hispanic Church Planting Coordinator
Lexington, KY
This bilingual person will assist a local Hispanic church planter in developing ministries, goals, objectives and strategies for a new Hispanic church start in Lexington, Kentucky. The missionary will work in various ministries already in place, such as after school tutoring, computer labs and English as a Second Language classes. This individual will also assist the church planter in discovering new ministries, developing outreach strategies and planning and implementing worship. The missionary will further develop existing small group Bible studies and discover new areas in which to start additional small group Bible studies.
Resident Missionary to Developmentally Challenged Adults
Princeton, KY
Will serve as a house parent to developmentally challenged adults in a Christian residence group setting. Interact with and provide a Christian witness to residents and their families through various means. Must offer support and encouragement to residents while assisting with meal preparation, light duty chores, and recreation. Will provide daily devotionals and act in a supervisory role with residents in the home and on the farm, giving direction as needed.
Hispanic Pastor/Church Planter
Hodgenville, KY
The church planter will be required to: Plant a new Hispanic church in the vicinity of Hodgenville and Elizabethtown, KY.; Develop pastors and leaders to help start new churches in Lynn and Severns Valley Association; Lead the newly plants to church to multiply.
Assistant to the President, Mountain Missions Development Corporation
Berea, KY
The position is for an assistant to the President of Mountain Missions Development Corporation. Their primary objectives are to serve underprivileged families in eastern Kentucky by offering educational opportunities such as job training and literacy programs, as well as social programs, including establishing homes for unwed mothers, drug rehabilitation centers and assisted living centers for the elderly. The main function will be to assist the president with the different projects and programs; to follow-up and resolve problems, check on progress and plan future needs for MMDC. The position will also include ministering to the needs (physical, emotional, and spiritual) of those we serve in the housing complex and the various other ministries of MMDC.

Pastor/Leader for Hispanic Ministry

Individual or couple needed to assist in leading Hispanic Ministry at South Fork Baptist Church Spanish-speaking mission. Will also be responsible for overseeing English as a Second Language (ESL). Foster Parent Missionary

Sunrise Children's Services (formerly Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children) is currently seeking qualified individuals and families to provide temporary foster care service. These individuals and families will provide a caring home for children with a history of abuse and neglect. Foster children need a family to live with during separation from their biological family. Foster families will contract with KBHC to provide these services and are reimbursed at a daily rate. Supervision and training is provided by KBHC foster care staff.
Secretarial Assistance on College Campuses

Due to the increasing number of students involved in ministry, Bible study and worship at the college and university level, secretarial assistance is needed on many of our campuses. These individuals would provide a tremendous support and help to the Campus Minister who is busy trying to reach students for Christ.
