Kentucky Baptist Connect churches are those that commit to the following goals:
- Increase the number of baptisms in our church each year through 2010. (The statewide goal is 125,000 new Christians by 2010.)
- Disciple new members to grow in Christ and become active in our church. (The statewide goal is for 80 percent of new members to remain active a year after joining.)
- Start at least two new Bible study units. (The statewide goal is to begin 5,000 new units by 2010.)
- Launch a new ministry to a group of people our church has not reached before. (The statewide goal is to have 1,250 churches launching new ministries by 2010.)
- Train new and current leaders each year for church ministries.
No church is alone in reaching these goals! The beauty of Kentucky Baptists Connect is that it is a partnership between churches, associations, the Kentucky Baptist Mission Board and Kentucky Baptist agencies and institutions. By bathing this initiative in prayer, working together and joining God where He is already at work, Kentucky Baptists can succeed in reaching our state for Christ in an exciting and life-changing way.
