Volunteers Needed: July 9-11, 2015 and September 25-26, 2015
Volunteers are needed to minister at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, KY during the NASCAR races in July and September on one of the following teams:
Fan Team – ministry in the Vendor’s Area, Guest Service Booths and ADA Transportation
Speedway Employee Team – ministry at Speedway Employee Check In/Check Out and Employee Welfare Carts (provide water and food to Speedway Employees)
Campground Team – ministry in one of four campgrounds outreaching to all campers and inviting them to activities at the campground such as children’s games, cook outs, worship services, etc.
Evangelism Team – roving ministry throughout the campgrounds, vendor areas, and parking lots with intentional one on one evangelism to those they meet along the way.
Kentucky Raceway Ministries works to meet the physical and spiritual needs of Race Fans and Speedway Employees through the unique ministry opportunities that God provides us. While most of our ministries are servant based, our focus is always on being intentionally evangelistic with our faith.
Size of Teams: Any size (individuals or groups)
Housing and Food Preparation:
Housing at local churches.
Food Prep to be determined at a later date.
Cost Per Person (if applicable):
$15 for Volunteer T-shirt
Love offering to church providing housing (to offset increased electric and water costs during the week)
Materials for Project:
Ministry will provide materials, but teams are encouraged to participate in collection of ministry materials.
Are Background Checks of Volunteers Required for this project? No
Volunteers should be 18 and over. KRM Leadership will approve volunteers under the age of 18 on a case by case basis.
