Raymond Baptist Church is planning to build a two story 3016 square foot per floor combination fellowship hall (on bottom floor) and classroom space (on second floor) and needs volunteer building team to do the work. Their desire is to get it framed in and dried in during the summer of 2014.
They wish to pay as they build. (Photo at the right is the building plan.)
UPDATE as of 06/06/2014: Mission teams have come completed the work on the building except for the roof and vinyl siding on the exterior. The materials are purchased and on site. Teams are needed NOW to finish the roof and siding.
Raymond Baptist Church, a member of the Salem Baptist Association, has an average Sunday morning worship attendance of around 100. Currently the pastor does reside in the parsonage and they are using it for Sunday School classes. The pastor has said that God told him specifically when he first came to the church 10 years ago to prepare the facilities for the next generation and he senses that as strongly today as he did when he came.
The building plans were originally drawn up as concrete block construction. They are engaging an architect to convert the plans to wood frame.
