Victory Baptist Church needs volunteer teams to help with a complete church (store-front building) “makeover.” They need professional electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and more.
The electrical wiring in the building is old and more than likely needs replacing. Ceiling tiles need to be replaced, plumbing needs to be examined, the building needs painted (inside and out), and places on the outside wall are rotten and need fixing.
Also, the building is so old that there is a possibility of asbestos.
TEAMS NEEDED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
Victory Baptist Church is a small church in Shelbyville, KY (Shelby County Baptist Association). The pastor came in November 2012 and the church is reaching out to the community. They have started God’s Kitchen ministering to many low income and homeless families. This past week there was an average of 45 needy and homeless people who enjoyed hot lunch meals. The numbers are growing as they minister and feed these people and many of them are also attending the church. Because of many low income and homeless people attending the church is low on funds and offerings.
They feel that if they could get the building in some order, and have rooms presentable for children, this would help them to grow.

Housing & Food Preparation:
Mission teams may need to provide their own housing and food. There are motels and restaurants in the area. There is a possibility that some meals could be prepared through God’s Kitchen. And, a possibility teams could stay at local churches or even at Cedarmore Baptist Camp.

Materials for Project:
The church is struggling financially. Teams would have to provide all materials.
