Ricky Chelette is an ordained minister and has served churches in Louisiana and Texas. A graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Ricky has served for the past 20 years on staff at First Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas, most recently as its minister of pastoral ministries, as well as the executive director of Living Hope Ministries.
For more than 18 years, Ricky has walked with those impacted by same-gender attraction, both in the U.S. and around the world. The online support forums he helped start in 1999 have ministered to more than 20,000 people. Currently, 8,000 people from more than 170 countries participate in the forums. Ricky's straightforward, logical and humorous style helps clarify what is often a very confusing and complicated subject. He speaks at churches, schools and seminaries worldwide, while Living Hope's weekly in-house ministry draws people from around the world seeking help and wholeness in Christ.
Ricky and his wife of 26 years, Merlinda, live in Arlington, Texas.
