Young Baptist musicians plucked from the stages of Kentucky’s churches will share the spotlight in June as they embark on a six-city tour.
About 60 high schoolers were selected through auditions to be a part of Kentucky Baptist Convention’s All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra. They represent 36 Southern Baptist churches from across the state.
Singers and instrumentalists are spending mid-June rehearsing at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., before kicking off the 2017 tour season with a worship experience at nearby Beechland Baptist Church on June 21.
Remaining worship experiences will take the All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra to sites in central and western Kentucky, ending in Bowling Green on June 25.
