Engaging the Stranger Next Door is a workshop designed to help you discover and engage internationals in your community.

The workshop will be hosted at the Kentucky Baptist Convention in Louisville, November 30 - December 1, 2017.

There will be 20 complimentary hotel rooms available for the first 40 participants to register, both individuals in the room must be workshop participants. Registration will close on November 23.

Workshop Participants will:

  • Discover the Modern Diaspora: Our World on the Move
  • Explore people group databases
  • Examine the process of discovery and engagement
  • Discern people group information
  • Learn practical techniques in naturally encountering the stranger next door
  • Be challenged in international engagement
  • Engage in a cultural immersion experience

Schedule:

Thursday, Nov. 30 - 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

(participants will recieve instructions when they are dismissed at 6 p.m. for dinner on techniques to use during that time)

Friday, Dec. 1 - 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.


Lunch will be provided each day.
