In this course learn about feeding operations to ensure the safe storage, handling, preparation, and distribution of food to disaster victims and workers. Nothing in the manual is to be construed as overriding state and local laws and regulations, nor are the guidelines designed to replace appropriate procedures currently being used in state disaster relief training.
Chainsaw Safety and Roof Tarping

Chainsaw Safety provides a brief overview of the safe operation of a chain saw team. As with any equipment, the operator should seek to gain as much knowledge and skill as possible about operating a chain saw. Tarping a roof after a disaster helps prevent further damage to the home, so rebuilding may begin.
*Having amateur or “ham” radio experience is beneficial.
When cell phone towers and phone lines are down, we still need the ability to communicate with one another during a response. Taking this course will teach you how to use the communications tools of Disaster Relief.
Emergency Child Care
Parents need to assess their homes after a disaster and need a safe place to leave their child(ren) while they tend to cleanup efforts. It is a ministry where children and parents are shown the love of Jesus at a time when care and attention are vital needs in their lives.
*Two-day training, beginning on Friday at 9am. You must hold a current DR badge to attend.
