Created by churches, for churches, to help churches reach Kentucky and the world for Christ

New video available for churches to let members know about Kentucky Today

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Today, which was launched a year and half ago to keep Kentucky Baptists informed about what’s happening in the world, already has readers in every city, town and community across the state.
Kentucky Baptist Convention Executive Director Paul Chitwood has prepared a brief video for use in worship services to introduce church members to Kentucky Today. He calls Kentucky Today “one of the most practical initiatives undertaken by KBC” in that it provides up-to-the-minute news from across the state, nation and world and does so free of charge.
The video is available for download at
“Kentucky Today provides fair, balanced and accurate news coverage, plus editorials from a decidedly Christian worldview,” Chitwood said. “When we read Kentucky Today, we know where to focus our prayers and how to engage our culture.”
At last count, Kentucky Today had more than 150,000 readers.
Chitwood said people who want Kentucky Today’s Morning Briefing sent to their email inboxes can receive it by emailing The Morning Briefing contains a digest of the top news articles of the day.
“I’d like to invite you to become a regular reader of Kentucky Today,” Chitwood says in the video. “It’s informative. It’s convenient. And it’s free.”
