LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The folks organizing Super Saturday are kicking it up a notch and turning the ministry training smorgasbord into a super-size day with an extra side of fun.
With six regional locations, there’s no reason to miss the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s flagship event of the year for training the entire staff in practical ministry application.
Got a passion for teaching Sunday school? Super Saturday has it covered. Maybe it’s calculators and budgets that get the heart pumping. Well, how about an exciting mini-conference on the finer points of church financial benefits?
Super Saturday is quite simply a one-stop shop of ministry training and here’s a small sample of what is being offered:
• Websites – who cares? Think websites and social media are unnecessary for your church? Your digital presence matters! Make your church website and social media work for you and save your staff and volunteers time and effort.
• Resolving Everyday Conflict – Learn a biblical approach to working through conflict in your family, workplace, and church with the ultimate goal of glorifying God and experiencing reconciliation.
• For Ministry Wives, Cultivating Healthy Relationships – Deepen your relationships using a process that illustrates how relationships are formed and nourished, and how to biblically handle conflict within them.
• The Velcro Church – One of the greatest challenges churches face today is closing the back door! Many new members leave within a year. Based on the VELCRO book, learn practical and biblical ideas for reaching out and connecting with guests and new members.
Additionally, there will be a track dedicated to children’s choir leaders as well as training opportunities in women’s ministry, discipleship, evangelism, and youth and children’s ministry.
And the best news of all? This all-inclusive ministry training has a new low price of $15 per person with a maximum of $75 per church. That means most churches can bring everyone on the membership roll for pennies a person.
So, mark those calendars, reserve the church van and don’t forget to show up before training starts at 8:30 a.m. local time.
The events will be held Aug. 19 in Lexington, Aug. 26 in Erlanger and Paducah, Sept. 9 in Owensboro and Pikeville, and Sept. 16 in Louisville. Each three-hour training event will end at 12:30 p.m. local time.
