Louisville—Adult Kentucky Changers will work in and around the city of Lawrenceburg April 7-9, doing much needed repairs to the homes of two homeowners and one community center.
The project precedes the 112th Kentucky WMU Annual Meeting slated for April 10-11 at Sand Spring Baptist Church.
Adults are invited to join in the Kentucky Changers team, which will do repairs such as roofing, painting, light carpentry work, plumbing, landscaping and general cleaning. An experienced Crew Chief will oversee each project.
Lodging will be available at First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg. Morning and evening meals will be at the church with sack lunches delivered to jobsites. Participants may come on Monday evening, April 6, and stay at the church or arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, and be ready to work.
Adult Changers will have a Kentucky Changers experience not only with working during the day, but also with a time of praise and worship on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The final celebration will be part of the Kentucky WMU Annual Meeting on Friday evening when Kentucky Changers will be featured and homeowners invited to come for the celebration.
The cost to participate is $35 per person. To register, contact Peggy Murphy at 502-489-3457. Email: peggy.murphy@kybaptist.org. (WMU))
