It is so hard to find time for making connections, forging new friendships and learning new things during this COVID era. Beginning on August 13, you will find opportunities to spend your lunch hour doing just that. Best of all, you can do it right from your office chair!
On the fourth Thursday of each month join your fellow ministry assistants / church secretaries for a relaxing “Lunch Break.” Lunch breaks will be an informal time to share with one another, get to know some of your peers and to recharge before diving back into work.
On the second Thursday of each month, we’ll be offering a “Lunchtime Learning” opportunity. Every month will feature a different topic where you can listen and learn without leaving your office. And, of course, enjoy your lunch at the same time!
All lunches begin at 12:30 p.m. EDT
Does your church need free money? I know that is a silly question, we all need free money! In this 45-minute workshop, you will learn ins and outs of grants and scholarships to aid in your ministry needs. You will have the opportunity to ask your burning questions about grant writing during this event, so please bring your list of questions.
This workshop is led by Shameca Freeman, who is the administration assistant at Stithton Baptist Church. She has an extensive background in theatre and non-profit work. In her time as a grant writer, Shameca was awarded over 3.75 million dollars in funds for organizations like, KEY Players, Blue Jacket Outdoor Drama, Bloomfield Community Center, and Stithton Baptist Church.
