Carter County is one of the faster growing areas in north eastern Kentucky.
Various buildings are being built, the roads are getting widened, and new neighborhoods are in development. Carter County has several solid, healthy churches on one side of the interstate, but the other has a need for new, evangelistic, healthy churches. The Grayson Lake area is popular with tourists, and it could include a resort ministry focus. The county is easily accessible to other places by interstate and AMS Brian Horton is excited about the possibility of good church planting partners that can be found in this area.
