Need:
Glendale is building a 5400 square foot addition that will be used for education for the church and a Christian school. The building is a single story with 10’ exterior side walls. The roof is a 2/12 pitch – very flat. It is a wood frame structure with metal exterior. The foundation is a concrete slab. It will have two bathrooms and five classrooms.
The building is framed, the metal roof and exterior walls are up. The need in late February 2023 is for drywall and painting.

Ministry Description:
Glendale Baptist Church had been in decline for over 30 years and dropped to approximately 35 attendees prior to Covid. Two months prior to the Covid shut down in 2020, the church called Pastor Barry Fields as Pastor with the task of leading the church through an intentional revitalization. Even during the Covid crisis the church has slowly grown and is now averaging just over 100 people in worship.
The church is committed to “Bringing In, Raising Up, and Sending Out a Generation that is All-in for Christ.” They hold to a high view of the Bible, embrace the Great Commission with mission teams to Cuba and the Dominican Republic this year, and strive to develop of the faith of every believer that God entrusts to our care.
Dates Teams are Needed: ASAP. They lost a volunteer building team due to city ordinances. The foundation should be poured and cured by mid-July 2022. Will be open to any teams after the foundation is finished.

Housing and Food Preparation (for teams coming):
For any team coming in July, they can accommodate with in-house sleeping areas and a commercial kitchen. There are 6 showers in the facility.
After August 1, they have a school that rents the facility, and the in-house areas will not be available. However, Bowling Green has many churches that may be able to provide lodging for a team. Glendale will assist teams in finding lodging.
Cost Per Person: N/A
Materials for Project: Glendale will provide all the materials. They have already secured the lumber and metal for the project and have raised funds to help with the project. They will be able to get materials from Lowes, Home Depot, and several other local lumber yards.
Building team would need to supply hand tools. The church is willing to rent a lift if needed to hang trusses.
