Spiritual Needs – Prayer first and foremost. Need for people to pray for the missionaries as they plan ways to use Hillcrest Baptist Camp as an evangelistic tool to reach and disciple children, youth, and adults for Christ in southern IL and Western KY. Pray that they will have God’s vision for the use of Hillcrest Baptist Camp. Pray for the financial needs of the camp and directors.
Mission work teams are needed to serve during the week or on weekends to do general cleaning, repair work, and maintenance.
Resource Needs – Teen Study Bibles, Twin Sheets, D-Con boxes (full-size boxes), AA batteries, 9 volt batteries, copy paper (all colors, especially white), security envelopes (#10 – 4 1/4″ x 9 1/2″ – pull & seal), bug bombs, wasp spray, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, anti-bacterial pump soap, baking soda (odor and dirt eliminator), trash bags (small, medium, & large), brooms and dustpans, metal chairs, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies (toilet bowl cleaner, window cleaner, all-purpose disinfectant cleaner, rags, buckets, mops, toilet bowl brushes), weed killer. Can also use sunscreen and travel-size items (lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.).
Large items: chipper, chainsaw, new tractor, railroad ties.
Hillcrest Baptist Camp is a beautiful campground located in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois. Hillcrest ministers to the youth of Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky. Over 2,000 students have put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through this ministry. Hillcrest offers a secluded environment for students and counselors to get away from the world and focus on God’s plan for their life. Hillcrest Baptist Camp is sponsored by Baptist churches and associations in Illinois and Kentucky.
