Ministry Description / Vision
Porter Jessamine Station is the first campus of Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington. While supported by our mother church, we have our own preaching ministry, ministry teams, and missional focus. Launched in August 2024, our goal is to see Jessamine County transformed by the gospel. Through the Spirit’s movement and the faithfulness of God’s people in witnessing and loving as Christ modeled, we pray to see lives changed for His glory.
Ministry & Prayer Updates
July was fairly quiet. We hosted a July 4 fireworks watch party for the community fireworks show, and had dozens of people from the community join us on our front lawn. We also got to host a local middle school for a meeting, as well as a public school LEGO camp.
August is an outreach-heavy month: -National Night Out: August 4th from 5-8pm at Lake Mingo Park -Night of Prayer for Jessamine County Schools: August 5 from 6:30-7:30pm -Asbury Welcome Weekend Outreach: August 27 from 4:30-6pm
Please pray for: 1. Salvations and baptisms. 2. Less dependence on ourselves with more on the Spirit of God moving 3. More people attending, serving, and connecting–but also more opportunities to help people step into their calling and being commissioned out. 4. Guidance on who, when, and how to coach new leaders
