In June, we finalized many details of our church’s ministry focus for the next 12 months. We have seen a number of answered prayers in the Lord, including the provision of jobs for men who have finished their degree or training programs. Two children are pursuing baptism right now, and we are in the midst of evaluating and “catechizing” them to a degree to make sure they have a firm understanding of the gospel, a proper understanding of baptism, and an appropriate understanding of the privileges, responsibilities, and expectations of covenant members of our church.

Next month, we are doing a mini-VBS that will receive the lion’s share of our organizational attention. Other than that, the church calendar is relatively light. I am spending time preparing for 2 different discipleship cohorts in the Fall and trying to get some normal discipleship relationships rolling with 2 different men who are regularly on the fringe of church life.
