We were married September 1985 and recently celebrated our 39th anniversary. We have 4 children, Jeremy Nix, Cody Nix, Hannah and husband Eli Foster, and Jacob Nix and 2 grandkids. Elizabeth Nix and Kace Foster. Our son Cody passed when he was 8 in an accident. My wife works at home and I do carpentry work.

Ministry Description / Vision

We are called by God to replant a church in the Eubank, KY area. There are many needs in the populated community around us. We have a great passion to share the gospel and diciple those who follow Jesus. We are a very loving church and look for every opportunity to love on those in the community. We would greatly appreciate your partnership with us in prayer as we serve the Lord in this ministry! God is doing great things!

Ministry & Prayer Updates
We did the cup of cold-water ministry at the fair on June 19th. There were about 8 adults and 4 youth that helped it was great serving together. We had 2 salvations at the fair praise the Lord!
 
VBS started June 29th and has been a big part of our month of June work in getting it ready. Everyone has worked hard preparing for the bible school. I have been very blessed to see the workers are sharing the love of Jesus! We have had a big turnout of church members to help with VBS. Our kid’s playground is now useable with plans to add more to it after church camp. Church camp will be at Laurel Lake Baptist camp with the Lake Cumberland Baptist Association. From our church we have 8 adults going to serve as counselors and we have 6 kids 4th grade – 12th grade that are going. The camp theme is Crossroads: what to do when you don’t know what to do. What an honor it is to serve as the camp pastor again this year. We have a baptism scheduled for this next Sunday and are planning another men’s breakfast and devotion time. The women are doing a bible study together.
 
Pray for souls to be saved, and for growth spiritually and physically of the ministry at Refuge. Pray for the church camp June 12th to the 17th. Join us in praying for a couple of our church who are battling cancer. Also, pray for our praise team, leaders, and teachers of the church! My wife and I always are in need of your prayers as we serve at Refuge!
