Louisville—Crossings Ministries has announced a new, Gospel-centered camp experience for kids called Crossings Day Camps.
“These camps are everything you know and love about Crossings, packed into one day, and brought right into the city,” said Lance Howerton, interim president of Crossings Ministries.
“As we look at the changing culture of both parents working, it gives us an unusual opportunity to care for and share the gospel to kids who may not have another opportunity to hear,” Howerton said.
Crossings Day Camps are the first of their kind to the city of Louisville. Unlike other day camps, Crossings Day Camps are focused on helping nurture kids to grow into young adults who learn to love Jesus and each other. The activities at camp will include worship, Bible study, high energy outdoor games, craft activities, team building, water games and more.
“We are extremely excited to launch Crossings Day Camps this summer to bring our Gospel-focused camp model to the city of Louisville,” said Adam Tait, director of Crossings Day Camps. “We are eager to show those who have not experienced camp what we are all about.”
Crossings Day Camps will run weekdays, June 4 – July 27, and will be held in St. Matthews at Sojourn East Community Church. It is open to kids entering 1st grade through entering 6th grade. Kids are welcome to come with a sibling, friends, church group or on their own. The weekly rate for camp is $200.
Registration is open now. Visit crossingsdaycamps.org for more information and to sign up. (WR)
