Summers are busy for EBO! Through a variety of ministries, the Eliza Broadus Offering is making an impact. Thank you for giving and praying!

I spent three weeks with Kentucky Changers this summer, sleeping on the floor, visiting work sites, taking pictures, and posting on social media. But what was most meaningful were the conversations I had with students and homeowners about their walk with Jesus.

On one site visit, a crew member was having a significant conversation with the homeowner as I arrived. Then I talked with her for awhile about the challenges of life that she was facing and her need for Christ. I shared the gospel using a salvation bracelet and left it with her. My next visit was to a nearby believing homeowner who could follow-up and invite her to church.

I rejoiced each night of worship during every week of Changers to see students and adults come forward during the invitation. Students were saved every week. Many rededicated their lives to Christ. Some expressed a call to ministry. The image of students kneeling on a gym floor, surrounded by other students and adults will stay with me. This is what Kentucky Changers is really about.

In addition to Changers, Acteens Activator teams served in Ohio and Missouri. GA Day at Bernheim Forest introduced girls to missions in a new setting. Mission Adventure for Kentucky Kids engaged children in a three-day mission trip. And ministries across Kentucky that received EBO grants were actively engaged in summer outreach.

In a few weeks we will wrap up the summer with Camp Courage, as boys, dads, and leaders gather for a campout where they will learn about missions in the great outdoors. Hearing the gospel shared around a campfire reminds me of Jesus sharing life with His disciples.
