Louisville—Leading a team of short-term servants to the international mission field requires more than a valid passport. That is why the Kentucky Baptist Convention is offering free training to anyone leading, or interested in leading, such a trip.
Team Leader Training for International Mission Trips will be March 11-12 and held at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.
Topics covered range from health and safety precautions to developing leadership skills, building a team and preparing spiritually to serve overseas.
Thanks to gifts through the Cooperative Program the training is free, but registration is required at www.kybaptist.org/tlt.
As an added bonus, those who complete Team Leader Training and then lead an international short-term missions effort in the future will receive a $500 scholarship toward that trip.
A complementary hotel room will be provided to the first 40 registrants.
