PADUCAH—Senior adults are invited to gather for a day of fellowship and fun at the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s Senior Living Celebrations.
The theme of this year’s event is Race of a (My) Lifetime taken from Hebrews 12:1-2, which encourages Christians to “run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
Celebrations will be held in three cities beginning at Lone Oak First Baptist Church in Paducah, Ky., on May 1. Other regional events will follow on May 2 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Ky., and on May 4 at Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Ky.
Kentucky native Richard Harris, a retired vice president with the North American Mission Board, will be the featured speaker at each event. During his longtime service in Baptist life, Harris has been a pastor, an interim state convention executive director, and has written extensively on evangelism and church planting.
Comedian Rik Roberts will provide the laughter with his 100-percent clean stand-up routine. Also a native of Kentucky, Roberts has been featured on Country Music Television and on SiriusXM Radio’s LaughUSA and Blue Collar Radio channels.
Register before April 11 for a discounted rate. For more information, visit www.kybaptist.org/seniorcelebrations.
