We have served the past 4 years in APAC with a Muslim majority people group. We left America as a married couple and have since had two children in Asia. During our time there, our work has been 3wfold. First and foremost, we seek to preach the gospel boldly to the Muslim people in the province that we live. The people are an Islamic stronghold in the region and we urgently seek to find people that have been prepared by God to hear the gospel. During our time there, we have found some churches that are of different ethnicity and ostracized by the local Muslim population. We seek to work alongside these churches to grow into maturity and seek to reach their Muslim neighbors in spite of their persecution. Practically this looks like preaching the truth of Scripture, training and discipling the members of the church and helping the church leadership to develop curriculum to be used to equip the church. In the place that we live, we cannot exist as missionaries and we therefore run a small tourism business that provides our team with an identity in the local community as well as allowing unhindered access into places we would otherwise not be welcome.
