Because of the COVID-19 virus, local churches are facing a challenging season of ministry. As a result, the Kentucky Baptist Convention designed the online EQUIP training event to provide a focused response as churches move forward.
Leaders in the areas of Abuse Prevention, Children’s Ministry, Conflict Resolution, Deacon Ministry, Discipleship, Evangelism, Finance, Revitalization, Security, Students, Sunday School Teachers, Sunday School Directors, WMU, Women’s Ministry and Worship & Music are all invited to come together online to be better equipped during this pandemic.

Sessions will be led by Rachel Cobb. She has served as the Preschool and Children’s Ministry Director at First Baptist in Richmond, Ky., for 18 years.

Sessions will be led by Dwight Schettler. He serves as President of Ambassadors of Reconciliation. Dwight also served four years as Director of Training & Certification for Peacemaker Ministries.

Sessions will be lef by Jason Stewart. He currently serves at the Kentucky Baptist Convention as the Worship/Music & Prayer Consultant. He has also served in full- and part-time music/worship positions for Kentucky Baptist churches and for congregations in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana and South Carolina.

Steadfast in the Midst of COVID-19, 8:00 p.m. EDT
The first session will be led by Valerie Vincent. Valerie led private practice counseling for 20 years. She also wrote for the Western Recorder Family Forum for 15 years and taught undergraduate courses for 10 years.
The second session will be led by Heather McVey. She is a wife and momma of three. During the day, she is a Jesus Girl disguised as a school-based, Speech-Language Pathologist. She also leads women's ministry to teach and equip women to pursue righteousness.

Session is led by Larry Purcell. He serves as a regional consultant with the KBC for the churches, pastors and AMS’ of western Kentucky with strategic planning, pastor search, training events, and as a source of encouragement.

Sessions will be led by Paul Johnson and Sebastian Valquez. Paul is Church Strengthening Team Leader at the Canadian National Baptist Convention. He is recently retired from CNBC (Canadian National Baptist Convention) as Team Leader for Church Strengthening, after 22 years' service. Seba and his wife, Erin, serve as missionaries with the International Mission Board. They are heading to London after serving 13 years in Poland and Canada.

The first session is led by Sam Greer. He has served as a pastor in the local church since 2004. After serving two congregations in Louisiana, Sam was led to Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he has served as Senior Pastor since 2012.
The second session is led by Kenny Rager. He serves as the evangelism associate on the Evangelism Team at the KBC. He travels to many churches teaching on evangelism strategies to use in their community.
