CAMPBELLSVILLE—“Who is a missionary? I am, and so are you,” Chris Clarke, founder of Happy Trails Ministry and pastor of Kentucky Lake Cowboy Church, told students at Campbellsville University Oct. 22.
“We are who God made us to be. No matter where you go, be real,” Clark said. “God will use you when you are being you.”
Clarke shared five basic building blocks of faith: believe, faith, trust, obedience and surrender.
“We are all missionaries, because God tells us to be missionaries,” he explained.
This belief, he said, is what led him to make Acts 1:8 the Happy Trails’ theme verse, and why he is a missionary today.
Kentucky Lake Cowboy Church, which meets in the Kentucky Opry building in Draffenville, is affiliated with Purchase Area Baptist Association. Founded in 2004, the Happy Trails ministry seeks to address the spiritual needs of those involved in the state’s equestrian community.
Clark, a 1986 alumnus of the university, closed with two questions for the students, “What do you see when you look at yourself, and have you lost your first love (for God)?” (WR)
