This project is a partnership effort between the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board that focuses on building closer relationships between our pregnancy resource centers and Southern Baptist churches for the purposes of sharing Christ and helping women to choose life for their unborn children. We encourage members of KBC congregations to visit their local pregnancy resource center to discover ways they can help and how they can pray for or with the center director.
Pray that God will:
- protect their center personnel (board of directors, staff, volunteers and families) from any type of physical abuse or harm and from discouragement or doubt from the enemy.
- meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the center staff.
- send the clients He chooses to the center that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- give the counselors special wisdom and boldness in sharing the Gospel with the clients and challenging then to a lifestyle of obedience and purity.
- change the minds and hearts of the mothers who are considering abortion and give them the courage to choose life and consider adoption when appropriate for their unborn children.
- bring healing and a renewed relationship with Christ to women and families inside and outside the church who have chosen abortion in the past.
- meet the financial needs of the center.
Ways to help your Pregnancy Care Resource Center:
- donate baby clothing, furniture, car seat or formula.
- provide food, clothing and a safe place for an expecting mother.
- serve as a mentor for expecting mothers.
- sponsor a baby shower for the center with fits of clothing, furniture, diapers or formula.
- partner with the center to teach young women good parenting skills.
- plan a mission trip to the center for maintenance, painting and re-decorating, if needed.
- Church members should call the center director first before visiting the center to determine an appropriate time to come.
