Safety and Security Essentials in Children’s Ministry

Safety matters. In this breakout session a checklist will be used to evaluate the current safety level of your children’s ministry. After identifying weak areas, we will discuss long term planning, short term planning, and steps you can implement immediately. We will focus on check in and check out procedures, emergency plans, allergies and medical needs, and proper preparation of volunteers to keep every child safe.

Vigilant Communication: What You Don’t Know, Can Hurt You  

Attendees will leave with real world knowledge of effective communication from the parking lot to the alter.  Course will discuss a wide range of strategies to effectively communicate with visitors/congregation, within all aspects of staff and ministries, as well as law enforcement that may arrive on scene after an incident.  Attendees will be able to implement positive change immediately after arriving back to their home churches that has life-saving potential.
