FLORENCE—Nine congregations were welcomed into the Kentucky Baptist Convention, joining a family of nearly 2,400 Baptist churches.
Committee on Credentials Vice-Chair Allen Bonnell presented the churches for affiliation during the Kentucky Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Florence.
The newly affiliated churches are:
Beaver Creek Southern Baptist Church in Topmost;
Eagle Creek Baptist Church in Sadieville;
Ekklesia in Bowling Green;
Filipino International, Louisville;
Salt and Light Baptist Church, Crestwood;
Summit Community Church, Hazard;
Thoroughbred Community Church, Nicholasville;
Water’s Edge Church, Henderson;
Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ekron.
Congregations joining under watchcare status are Connecting Christian Church and Lampton Baptist Church, both in Louisville.
Churches under watchcare typically are beginning their acquaintance with the missions and ministries of the KBC.
Also, the Purchase Area Baptist Association has been accepted as a fully affiliated association with 16 member churches and will have representation on the Mission Board of the Kentucky Baptist Convention. (KBC)
