Need:
Crossroads is a church without a box. We welcome teams with various skills to meet the spiritual needs while meeting the physical needs of those in the area. Teams assist with evangelism and outreach. We welcome mission teams year-round. Our prayer, “God, show us the needs in the area, and provide the resources to meet the needs.” The first need is the gospel. Compassion ministries allows us to meet people where they at in life and share the gospel as physical needs are addressed.
- The Lord’s Café @ Crossroads Community (free restaurant ministry) provides free meals to the community and free groceries. Hot meals are prepared Monday through Wednesday. Approximately 100 to 250 eat lunch each day. Teams assist with preparing the meal, cleaning, serving as wait staff, bus station and dishwashers, and more. On Thursdays, groceries are given to families that are needing extra assistance with food. Team volunteers assist in unloading, setting up, assisting individuals with groceries, and clean up. The Lord’s Café operates completely by donation and volunteer help. This ministry proves God can still multiple food; The Lord’s Cafe began serving community on June 6, 2011.
- Construction teams are needed for tiny home construction (The Light Community). The Light Community construction includes projects from highly skilled to minimum skill. We are in need of teams to build three more residential sized tiny homes and a barn. A new home for the pastor’s growing family is needed also. In addition, facility updates and repair are needed at The Lord’s Café including siding, roofing, window replacement, HVAC replacement, and more. All skill levels needed.
- Teams participate in laundry ministry, block parties, hair and nail salon, sports camps, clothing ministry and other outreach projects.
- Other opportunities are available.
