Over this past month, I (Daniel) and my family moved to Stanford, and joined Derek (another pastor), who moved to the Stanford area around two months ago. Our sending church, Grace Baptist Church, showed up in a powerful way. Many members sacrificed their time and their trailers to get us moved in. Our family has been enjoying the new home, and it has generated much excited to get started sharing the gospel in this area. We even had neighbors come over and ask about the church plant the day that we moved. The Lord provided a wonderful building space for us to lease, and since the lease started on April 1st, our core team has been hard at work getting the building ready for us to worship in it. We have a core team of 12 people coming from our sending church. This team is made up of 12 people who love Jesus, who love the Scriptures, who love the local church, and who are excited to spread the Gospel in Lincoln County. The building is conveniently located right where people drive into down from the Danville side of Stanford. The space we are leasing was formerly a boutique, and over the past month our team has completed demolition, new wall placement, drywall installation, stage installation, sound booth installation, new wiring installation, and so much more. This process has gone much faster than we thought it would. The Lord continues to make it clear that He has lead us exactly where He wants us. Next up, we will progress to carpet and vinyl floor installation, painting, and furnishing. We had our first two outreach opportunities this month. We were able to have a table setup at a local food truck festival and Easter egg hunt that the city held. Then, a few weeks later, we were able to join in a citywide cleanup that the city organized. In both instances, we were able to spread the word about the start of the Church plant, and make meaningful connections with the community. We have another event at a local school this Friday (May 2) that we are eagerly looking forward to. Each Sunday night since March, our core team has been meeting together to pray for the plant, pray for our outreach events, plan the building renovations, and discuss our church covenant and constitution. This meetings have been very encouraging, and the Lord has provided a sweet spirit of unity among our team. We are still scheduled to have our first public worship service on June 28. 

Please pray for our next outreach event on 5/2/26, that we would be able to share the Gospel with many high school and middle school age kids. Please pray for the remainder of the building renovations, particularly that the Lord would continue to provide the materials we need and that we would get all that we need within our budget. Please pray for our core team of twelve people as we finalize our constitution and covenant. Please pray for Derek and I (and our families) to make connections with our neighbors, boldly proclaim the gospel, and spread the word about the first service.
