Ministry Description / Vision

What was the historic First Baptist Church of Danville was recently adopted by Ashland Avenue Baptist in Lexington, becoming Ashland Danville as a replant. After a period of time of being established, growing, maturing and being strengthened, the work will be launched as a sister autonomous Southern Baptist congregation.

Ministry & Prayer Updates
June is a month of great participation and cooperation with Ashland Avenue in Lexington, as there are decoration preparation days for VBS. We also had a big emphasis on hospitality that was well embraced. 
 
July is our 2nd ever VBS, on July 13-17. One of our Bible fellowship group leaders opened their home for a fourth of July gathering (I love ‘unprogrammed’ fellowships!) In July, our small groups take a break in formally meeting but spend a ton of time serving together. Pray for the kids who will be coming to VBS and for their families, for gospel understanding and a real sensing of our care for them. Pray for energy and unity in serving.
