One of our international students is Shamma Lorrean from Haiti. He completes his testimony in this final article how God used his circumstances to bring him to Clear Creek.
“I am concerned about educating Christian leaders in Haiti, teaching pastors and staff members, because a lot of them have gotten the Good News of Jesus Christ really wrong, and they are spreading it to their churches,” said Shamma. “I am also extremely thankful to Clear Creek alumni Stephen and Sheri Thomas, Kevin Bruns, current student Rachel Allen along with Dr. Dee Wilson’s family and Mike Mills who were among those who suggested for me to come to Clear Creek. I feel at peace here.
“Classes have been fun for me because I have gotten to have some wonderful experiences but they have also been a challenge because of the language barrier,” said Shamma. “Thanks be to God for some very kind people in the faculty, staff, and students, who embraced and supported me. Now everything is better than when I started. These people helped me to become confident and motivated.
“As the Bible said in Jeremiah 29:11, God has a plan for me to give me a future and a hope. I claim this now as God’s grace and it is enough for me.
“My favorite classes are Old Testament 1, New Testament 1 and Introduction to Missions,” said Shamma. “These classes are awesome. The OT1 and NT1 teachers are superb for educating you if you are interested in teaching the Bible and the Mission’s teacher shares real facts about the life of a missionary. I am excited to see what God has in store for me to do after my study.
“Clear Creek is more than just a Bible College; it is a family and a place of great fellowship,” said Shamma. “I am in love with this place! I feel tranquil with everything about it. The knowledge is great and adequate, the people are nice. Best of all, I believe when I graduate from Clear Creek, I will be well prepared to love God and His people through the preparation I received here.
“For me, it is the best place to be right now.”
